Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. To receive quotes, the tool needs gender, birthdate, overall health condition, tobacco status, desired coverage sum and preferred duration—six data points. That is sufficient for carriers to give you prices. Personal information such as name, home address and detailed health records are requested only once you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They are what the carriers will quote you for the health tier you indicated. Underwriting by the carrier establishes the price you actually pay after your application is reviewed, which may confirm your quoted class, upgrade you to a better class, or move you to a different class. The quotes shown are estimates; the company's final decision after reviewing your file determines your actual rate.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name, your choice of quote generates the application with the exact terms you picked, then the process moves to the carriers' encrypted platform. You can exit and complete it later, and final signing is electronic. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), processes your application.
Will I need a medical exam?
This varies based on the carrier you select, the amount you want and what you reported in your answers. Some carriers offering same-day decisions can underwrite fast-track applicants without exams; the quote displays whether each plan requires an exam, might require one, or requires none.
Is a longer term better?
Protection should span the timeframe when your loss would burden your dependents: home debt, young children, business obligations. Higher coverage amounts mean higher monthly cost, but the premium stays fixed through the full term. On this tool you can see and compare all the term lengths—10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years—with pricing from every carrier.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote engine gathers no contact info, our company does not sell or share user information to anyone, and our site measurement does not use cookies. Go to the privacy section for a thorough list of all information collected and who has access.
